Electric Womb are an alt-electronic duo based in Essex and Liverpool, with synth at the core of their sound. They come together every now and then to record and release an album, marking the occasion with corresponding tattoos. Their last single 'Banana 13' is sonically hard to label, but certainly has a strong taste of trip-hop and jazz. Now, the duo release another single 'The Daily Slog'. Synth stabs open the song, with a hip-hop beat running through it. The off-kilter vocals state 'This town shouldn't be a town'; the strange melody filling your ears. Occasional jazzy piano runs create a sense of freedom, whilst being underpinned by the groovy synth bass. Unlike anything else you'll hear in a while, 'The Daily Slog' is like life - weird and wonderful. -Ellie Rose-Davies
